Farm Mechanization

Farm mechanization is a very recent case of development which was never thought of even a decade ago owing to small and fragmented farm holdings, low farm income and various other reasons in the state. In spite of diverse odds, by tackling tricky situations like labour shortage during peak periods and managing narrow window between successive crops and improving production and income generation through promotion of mechanization, has resulted in considerable increase in per capita income of farmers. The State has initiated farm mechanization programme since 2012-13 through umbrella programme form benefitting large section of farmers and established 1318 CHCs till 2018-19.
